With a low weight and high performance ratio, the SC684 upright vacuum gives users of all sizes great performance in a highly maneuverable package. As with most other Sanitaire vacuums, the SC684 offers simple operation that allows the use to focus on the task of cleaning, not adjustments on the vacuum. The SC684 is a full commercial vacuum that offers all the features of others in it's class including direct air- low amperage motor, long 50 ft. power cable, shake out bagless reusable filtration system and durable metal wear points including bottom plate, handle yoke and post.

Using the SC684 is simple. A rotary dial allows setting the height adjustment to one of six positions for the surface being cleaned and a toe operated switch energizes the vacuum for use. Dirt collection in the SC684 is a top filling cloth bag. Long a favorite in high volume cleaning applications, the top fill cloth bag provides space for a large amount of debris without the expense of disposable paper bags. When full, the entire cloth bag can be disengaged from the machine, taken to a remote empty site, remove the metal slide opening the full width of the upper bag and empty into a receptacle.

Cleaning performance of the SC684 is provided by Eureka's direct air motor system, the 780 Watt horizontal fan motor. The direct air system allows the use of a fan and motor system that is placed much closer to the floor, only inches from the surface being cleaned allowing the use of a high CFM, low wattage motor. The lower wattage motors run cooler and with less noise for extended cleaning sessions, a task the Red Sanitaire is particularly well suited for.

To provide uninterrupted commercial cleaning the SC684 is fitted with heavy duty features to keep you on the job, not in the shop. The cleaning nozzle of the SC684 is built into the high density polycarbonate base with an all metal bottom plate to cover the precision ball bearing Vibra-Groomer II^� brush roller. Noted for it's increased durability over wooden or plastic brush rollers, the Vibra-Groomer II brush roll is chromed steel and features slots for the use of low cost replaceable brush strips. Rather than throwing away the whole brush when worn this system allows you to replace only the parts the need it.

The Vibra-Groomer II Brush Roller runs on guided ball bearings that are sealed and lubricated for the life of the vacuum. The ball bearings of the brush roller, as those throughout the entire Sanitaire vacuum require no lubrication. The Vibra-Groomer II provides user serviceable access to the replaceable brush strips through the all metal end caps with the use of only a wrench or nut-driver. When installed in the vacuum, the Vibra-Groomer II roller sits within a rubber mount isolation system to lessen vibration of the vacuum and extend the life of the belt.

Other quality design upgrades are an all metal handle yoke, the rotating cuff that moves the handle into a cleaning position from the normal upright stored position. An all metal, toe operated handle release with three positions allows you to clean with the handle in normal position or in a second flat to the floor position. The large outboard mounted rear wheels provide both excellent stability while in use and easy to push transport for movement from one site to another.

The high impact ABS motor hood provides damage resistance to the internal systems of the SC684 from furniture and other low objects or when the vacuum must be moved in a vehicle or stored in a custodial closet. The ABS housing retains it's shape and remains easy to clean, keeping your vacuum clean projects a professional image when you are cleaning your clients facility, increasing the demand for your cleaning services.
