Pigtail Hose Connection
This model is the Pigtail or Standard Connect hose style. This kit includes lightweight crushproof hose with a regular connection cuff that includes a 7 foot cord attachment (called a "Pigtail") built into the hose cuff that plugs into a standard electrical outlet somewhere nearby the CV inlet to provide electricity to the premium power brush.

This type of connection fits most wall valves on the market today where power for electric attachments is not supplied directly by the CV wall plate. Our universal Pigtail hose is designed to work with all standard wall plates, even some of those that were installed years ago and those that may not have originally included a powered attachment group. Standard connection is generally the preferred inlet valve type for retrofitting installations (new install, existing home). This type of installation does not require that you also run 120V wiring to each valve, only a low-voltage signal wire that is used in all CVS installations. To use the Central Vacuum System with standard connection valve and pigtail hose you need only plug in your hose to the wall.

When you need to supply electricity to the powered brush for cleaning carpets just plug in the cord that is connected to the hose wall cuff to an electrical outlet somewhere nearby. The pigtail cord on the hose is 7 feet long, and can easily stretch across a hallway if needed. Our Premium CVS attachment group is built upon the philosophy that any great kit requires premium components, especially the power brush. While a central vacuum power unit's suction motor can have as much as 5 times the power of a portable vacuum cleaner, when it comes time to deep clean carpets and rugs it is the electrically driven power brush that will contribute nearly 70% of the total cleaning performance. The common term "German Engineering" is only common because Germans know how to engineer like the Swiss know how to build a watch. The EBK340 Power Brush is everything we have come to expect from the minds of German engineers at Wessel Werk, surpassing both functionality and styling of the domestic power brush fare.
The measure by which all other power brushes should be judged, the EBK340 has the power and features needed to clean carpeting of any type. There are many special components that lend themselves to the EBK340's phenomenal cleaning ability. Perhaps most importantly, the EBK340 uses the most reliable power transmission system in use today: the Geared Belt Drive. Transferring the full power of the brush motor to the spinning brush (and furthermore to your carpets) is what sets this power brush apart from the others.

The geared belt far surpasses traditional flat belt products because it does not rely on the stored tension of rubber to transfer the motor's power to the brush roll. Both motor and brush roll are geared and matched to the belt, which means the belt doesn't stretch, therefore always providing reliability by giving consistent high speed RPM's to the roller brush.

Spinning the brush fast is one of the most important factors of power brush carpet cleaning. Faster brushes increase the bristle contact to the carpet fibers for better brushing action. It also increases agitation to bring embedded soil to the surface, at the same time creating an auger action that reduces the tendency to spatter like slower brushes that tend to spread dirt around before it can be pulled into the vacuum's air stream.

Never Fail Belt System

If you have ever used a vacuum for any amount of time you will have most likely also replaced its belt, probably more than once, and perhaps several times. Most all vacuums and power brushes use a flat belt made of rubber. The geared drive system of the EBK340 uses a fiberglass reinforced toothed belt similar to that of an automotive timing belt with embedded fiberglass strands for superior strength.

The geared belt of the EBK340 will likely last for many years. Driven by a powerful full size brush motor with lifetime lubricated ball bearing shaft, the EBK340 comes ready to work.

The entire geared belt drive system is protected with a patented motor protection integrated circuit that will detect any problem in the brush before it can cause damage and will shut power off to the nozzle. No longer does vacuuming up the dog's chew toy mean you have to drop everything and run to the vacuum store for a new belt.

   


With the EBK340 you need only remove the obstruction, plug in your vacuum and start cleaning again. Equipped with two top mounted LED indicator lights you will always know when your brush is operating correctly, as with a green indicator, or when the brush action has stopped as signaled by a red light.

With some older vacuums the brush roller belt runs in "dirty air", the same path where vacuumed debris travels to the bag. The EBK340's belt rides in its own clean path, away from paper clips and staples. And because the geared belt system does not rely on large flat surface contact to drive the brush, you have more space under the nozzle for cleaning brushes, plus better edge cleaning on both sides.

The EBK340 also gives us many other great features including the auger bristle arrangement that brings the dirt and debris to the center of the nozzle where it is pulled into the wide throat. The EBK340's airflow dispersal pattern guided by a unique housing design applies even and consistent suction across the entire cleaning path.

The EBK340 has other features that directly affect the use of the nozzle including the full tilt/swivel connector. Allowing for a full range of motion, the nozzle connector will tilt completely back to the floor and swivel fully from left to right, allowing easy nozzle driving by the userThe nozzle connector locks into the upright position for quick parking while in use, so you can easily pause your cleaning to answer the door or move an object from your cleaning path.
The parking feature also stops the power brush automatically, restarting again when the handle is released into the normal cleaning position. The EBK340 is also wrapped in a full non-marring bumper to protect both the nozzle and your furniture without leaving marks on your baseboards.

The nozzle's bottom plate is equipped with four independent wheels. Two front "helper" wheels assist in transferring the nozzle from one surface to another, easily navigating transitions including thresholds. Set on independent and lubricated steel axles the rear wheels accommodate smooth movements even on the thickest of pile carpeting. Differing from other nozzles, the EBK340 rear wheels and axles are connected together and rotate within the nozzle's main body, similar to the rear wheels of an automobile.

No more squeaky wheels, no wheels "snapping off" their plastic mounts. Furthermore, the bottom plate is void of floor damaging protrusions with all metal screw heads recessed and wheels that are covered with a soft vinyl tread. The EBK340 is well at home on hard surface too and great for vacuuming mattresses to remove dust mites safely and easily.

The EBK340 is constructed with precision components, which are balanced for vibration and noise, making quiet use of a central cleaning system. Even the power brush body is balanced for truly straight tracking and the wide 13.5" (340mm) cleaning path remains highly mobile thanks to the full tilt, swivel connector. The EBK340 is an outstanding asset for any CVS system, and will greatly increase the carpet cleaning performance of both new and older CV Systems.

Telescopic Wand & Cord Management
Connecting the EBK340 Power Brush to the hose handle was given no less thought than the power brush itself. The original single action telescopic wand invented by Wessel-Werk provides effortless attachment and adjustment of the power brush for carpet cleaning. Through a single grip the chromed steel wand can be adjusted to any length from 22" - 39" for any sized user.

No latches or buttons are required for adjustment, simply grasp the textured adjustment collar and push to extend or pull to retract. When you let go of the grip the locking mechanism engages without further intervention from the user. Sealed from the dirt and dust passing through the wand itself, the telescopic action is completely maintenance free.

The stationary lower section of the telescopic wand features a button lock for a positive connection to the power brush. Two cord keepers come preinstalled on the lower wand body through which the power nozzle cord is routed. The upper section of the power nozzle cord is a stretch type coil, similar to a telephone cord, providing tension while in the cleaning position. The top of the telescopic wand includes the built-in Plastiflex Cord Management connector. This cord connection collar holds the cord in a mounted ready position for quick connection to the hose grip.

Simply attach the hose to the wand and the power nozzle's cord is automatically plugged in for you. Pushing the release button on the front of the wand lets you quickly detach the wand from the hose, no fiddling with a cord plug. A feature highly desired by central vacuumer's, the quick attach cord management system makes changing from one tool to another fast and easy.

The 30 ft. & 360° CVS Hose
The lightweight current carrying hose is 30 feet long with a soft molded ElectraFlex© hose body. The CVS hose body is highly flexible to make sharp turns without cutting off the suction. The hand grip is also the latest design in ergonomic "Gas Pump" grips. Keeping the grab area small means less fatigue on your fingers and wrist than with gripping the whole diameter of the hose.

 
The hose-to-grip connection has a full 360° swivel union that keeps you tangle free while moving about room to room, and the fingertip switch is 3 position giving you complete control over the remote suction unit and the powered brush. The switch has a center off position, move the switch in one direction to turn on the power unit for straight suction cleaning or to clean hard floors.

Moving the switch to the third position will turn on the suction unit and also energize the powered brush for carpet cleaning. The Premium hose body is an oversized 1 3/8" ID with a smooth bore interior for better airflow properties. An industry standard, this hose is manufactured by Plastiflex for the Wessel-Werk kits and will fit all new and existing CVS systems with direct connection wall plates.

Just when you think this Premium kit could not get any better, we must remember the Wessel-Werk is a vacuum nozzle company - producing millions of vacuum nozzles last year. When it comes to hard floors we made sure to include the best from Wessel-Werk, the D360 natural bristle wide path 14 inch cleaning brush. The Wessel Werk D360 floor tool exceeds the standard floor brush used in most generic central vacuum kits, particularly for uneven floor surfaces or homes with pets.

The D360 is a heavy-duty floor brush suitable for home or commercial use. The expansive working width provides excellent coverage in large areas and is also very maneuverable with a full swivel neck. The D360 has two natural fill bristle brush strips front and back with outboard soft vinyl wheels that keep the tool from scratching or marring wood or laminate floors.

The large center opening allows for optimal airflow, and the tool housing is manufactured of near indestructible polypropylene for years of trouble free use. The floor tool's connector is a standard friction fit for quick connection to the second included wand.

Featuring a button locking upper connector the wand offers a positive connection to the hose grip, while the tool end is a fast friction fit for quick tool change over. A standard 32mm in size, all of the tools in the kit can attach directly to the lightweight wand for overhead cleaning and utility usage. Usage is simple with a single cam action for extension or retraction.

The Not So Basic Three
While most every CVS attachment kit will include the three basic above the floor attachments: dusting brush, upholstery tool and crevice tool, we would not settle for just basic in our Premium attachment group.

In every cleaning action, it is the tool at the direction of the user that gets the job done. Quality above the floor cleaning tools, just like with the EBK340 Power Brush, not only get the job done faster, but get it done better. Here also Wessel-Werk had many choices available, and we selected their best for inclusion in our Premium kit. To start with, we replaced the regular round dusting brush with our professional dusting tool aptly named the Ultimate Dusting Brush. The Ultimate Dusting Brush from Wessel is an indispensable tool in any cleaning arsenal. If you use your vacuum to clean above the floor or other utility work, a dusting brush is often the tool you will use. Unfortunately the dusting brush included with most vacuums is too small to be used efficiently, has an inconvenient design or shape and may have bristles that are too short or made of material that is inflexible, leaving dust behind on the surface being cleaned.

With one tool, Wessel Werk has addressed all the deficiencies of regular dusting brushes. The cleaning face has been shaped for the way people clean. The UDB has a five-inch cleaning depth with a 1.5 inch protected opening. The elongated service end of the tool has nearly twice the cleaning area of standard dusting brushes letting the user do more work in a single pass. The top of the UDB is also tapered and the bristles swept forward letting you clean into corners and reach areas inaccessible to other tools; and the suction opening is tapered so suction is evenly distributed the whole length of the tool. As a true dusting brush, this tool is defined by its bristles. Unlike upholstery type brushes the UDB has long, softer polypropylene bristles.

There are 68 individual tufts mounted in a double offset row to the chassis with raised connectors to hold the bristles securely to the tool. The soft bristles are longer to flex as the tool passes over the object being cleaned, using stored tension in the bending bristle to knock dust particles off the surface and into the air stream. Spacing between the tuft mounts allows for easy cleaning of the tool itself. Removing threads or hair caught in the bristles is simple to do and keeps your tool working with optimum performance. The poly bristles and heavy-duty housing are also water washable and fit easily in the top rack of your dishwasher.

A static upholstery tool is also included. The low profile design concentrates suction onto the area being cleaned increasing velocity, which carries the dirt and dust into the tool's nozzle. The upholstery nozzle's front and rear surface contact points feature embedded lint/hair lifting strips.

These strips feature directional micro-fibers to grab onto hair and fuzz. When pushing the tool forward the rear strip grabs loose fibers that cling to the surface resisting the vacuum's suction. When you reverse the direction and pull the tool back towards you the rear collection strip releases the captured lint, hair and fuzz into the vacuum's air stream and the front strip begins its job of collecting lint and fuzz. The Wessel-Werk upholstery tool is lightweight, easy to use and features two side vents to prevent the nozzle from sealing off against flat surfaces ensuing constant airflow to carry debris to the collection bin.

The Wessel-Werk crevice tool takes an opposite approach to design from the upholstery tool, it is both long and built extra heavy with thick wall construction - good design attributes for a crevice tool. Crevice tools are often a favorite of vacuum users, desired for their utility and high airflow design.

Most often crevice tools are used for cleaning areas and objects never conceived of by the engineers, and are jammed into, next to, under and between anything and everything. Realizing long ago that crevice tools are used often, and often abused, Wessel-Werk redesigned their crevice tool to stand up to rigorous use. The extra length of the Wessel-Werk tool, a full 12 inches, helps you to continue jamming, pushing and prying the crevice tool wherever you need to clean.

Because you can only clean what you can reach with your central vacuum, we wanted to leave you no excuses when using our Premium attachment group. We have included two more wands (bringing the total to 3 sets!) made of lightweight ABS for utility cleaning. Each wand is 20" in length and also features a standard 32mm friction fit to operate with every other attachment in the group.

Now you can add all three wand sets together and easily clean the crown molding in a room with 14-foot ceilings. The black ABS wands can be used in any combination directly on the hose grip to give you just the right reach for cleaning your car, sofa or under the refrigerator with the extra long crevice tool.

Premium Storage
Now that you have the ultimate CVS attachment group, you need the ultimate storage solution to keep the tools from piling up in your closet - after all using your CVS should be convenient. Even a kit as complete as this one should just store in your closet, not fill it up.

To keep your tools in reach while you clean floors, the kit includes the wand mount tool caddie to keep your three above the floor tools on hand, ready for use. The wand caddie snaps onto the telescopic wand and provides three connectors to store the dust brush, crevice tool and upholstery nozzle. If you prefer, the wand caddie can also attach to the ultra-light telescopic instead.

To keep all of your tools neat and tidy storage is provided in a soft fabric storage bag with pockets for the three basic tools, two utility wands, floor brush and turbo brush. The fabric storage bag can hang on a hook in your storage closet or you can hang the loop over a coat hanger and store the tools on a closet rod. Easy to transport, the fabric storage bag is easy to move to your cleaning application carrying with you all the tools you will need.

An extra large hose hanger provides hose storage. Made of polypropylene and color matched to the attachment group, the hose hanger provides plenty of space to keep your hose coiled up off the floor, preventing damage.

Easy to mount to any wall with screws or wall anchors, the hose hanger provides plenty of space for the long 30-foot hose, even when wrapped tightly in many shorter loops. The built-in support of the hose hanger also provides an extra shelf for tool storage - perfect for the PT160 Turbo Brush.

From the Plastiflex 30 foot hose, to the EBK340 Power brush, and the other tools and accessories included, this attachment group includes everything you need to clean your home, perfectly.
