Don't Want to Bury Wire... Try The
Above Ground Installation - A Major Time Saver
For this system we upgrade our wire to a Heavy Duty polyethylene coated
boundary wire. Replacing broken wire is time-consuming and frustrating. Our wire is 3 times thicker and stronger than the wire you will find in most
radio fence kits, and has proven to be extremely durable in any climate - even above ground. Our wire is an
20 gauge solid core, direct burial wire. This same wire is used in commercial irrigation systems, and is designed to last a lifetime.
While you can still bury
this wire, above ground installation is simply a quicker method of
installing your radio fence.
Save the back-breaking and stressful task of burying wire and cut your installation time in half!
Click Here to learn about the Above Ground Installation.
Note: Due to
manufacturers packaging, your system will still include 500' of red 20 gauge
wire. If you intend on using the Above Ground Installation Method
DO NOT USE THIS WIRE, use the HEAVY DUTY 20 GAUGE BLACK WIRE only.

You can order just the right Dog Fence
for your size yard. The Fences we sell are the most popular and
include enough wire and flags to cover yards from 1/3 to 5 acres in
size. If your yard is larger than 5 acres, all you need is more
wire and flags. See our
Wire Calculator to see how much wire
you need. This system is capable of enclosing up to 10 acres. Training flags are
used to establish a visual boundary for your pet during training.
After about 30 days, you will be able to remove the flags. |
How The Standard Radio Fence Works

The transmitter plugs into a standard outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground wire. You can adjust the signal to up to 15 feet from the wire. In most cases, a 4-6 foot signal field will be the best for optimal training. The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the underground boundary that you have customized for your yard. When he approaches the boundary, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. The maintenance free design and ease of installation offers tremendous savings compared to conventional fencing and other systems of this type.
It's easy to train your pet. By spending just 15 minutes a day working with your pet, he can be fully trained in a few days. You can train as many dogs as you want on the same system, as long as they are each wearing a receiver collar. Additional receiver collars are available
to purchase if you have more than one dog.
We offer the flexibility you need to solve your installation needs. The conventional
method is to bury the boundary wire underground approximately 1-2 inches deep.
Using your own design, you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees
and even swimming pools. The link shows the most common ways to layout your Radio Fence, but there are almost endless ways of installing a system. For sample layouts,

This system is capable of enclosing up to 10 acres. Boundary flags are used to
establish a visual boundary for your pet during training. After about 30 days,
you will be able to remove the flags.
If your yard is larger than 3 acres, all you need is more wire and flags.
